Just a heads up about Livingston - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

Cheers!

Hmm, I'm not so sure about that. anyone else think the Stampede midway is way overpriced now? Still fun but I remember when it was a lot more affordable. Good memories though.

Good luck!

Yo, i think people don't give Calgary enough credit. Coming from Toronto, the quality of life here is way better for the money. Plus no PST!

Studio Bell at the National Music Centre is such a cool building and the exhibits are fantastic. If you're into music history, it's a must-visit.

We used CalgaryPrices to track the market before buying. Really helpful for getting a sense of where things are trending in different neighborhoods.

Hey, welcome! I was new here a while back too.

With kids, great to see another Calgarian joining! If you need help finding local services, CalgaryFinder is also a great resource for local listings and classifieds.

The Flames power play drives me insane but I keep watching every single game.

Anyone else going to the game Saturday? I've got an extra ticket - section 212. PM me if you want it.

I work downtown and live in Lynnwood.

Anyone else notice how much better the restaurant scene in Calgary has gotten? Like we're legitimately competing with Vancouver and Montreal now on the food front.

Hope that helps.

Mercato for date night is perfect. Great ambiance, amazing menu, and the cocktails are on point. Can't recommend it enough. Book ahead though, it fills up fast.

Cheers!

The gaming community in Calgary is bigger than you'd think. There are regular LAN events and gaming cafes. Also some great shops for PC building components.

If walkability is your priority, you really can't beat the inner city neighborhoods like Kensington, Beltline, or Mission. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Stampede is just around the corner and I'm already excited. Say what you will about it, but there's nothing quite like Calgary in July. The whole city transforms.

Cheers!

For anyone dealing with seasonal depression in Calgary - the winter can be tough despite the sunshine. Light therapy lamps are a game changer. Got mine on Amazon and it's helped enormously.

Cheers!

Speaking from experience, for anyone buying used cars in Calgary, I always recommend checking the vehicle history before putting any money down. Sites like FullVIN give you the full history report so you know exactly what you're getting.

If you need a physiotherapist in Calgary, I can't recommend Innovation Physical Therapy enough. They actually take the time to understand your issue and create a proper treatment plan.

Alberta Health Services wait times can be long but the quality of care in Calgary hospitals is actually really good. I've had great experiences at Foothills and South Health Campus.
