Having a toddler changes this - university District is becoming a really cool neighborhood. The new shops and restaurants there give it a trendy village feel. Worth checking out.

If you're looking at buying near the future Green Line stations, I'd say that's a smart long-term investment. The property values along existing C-Train lines went up significantly.

We tried that new place in Garrison Woods last week. Solid food, great atmosphere, and the prices are actually reasonable. Not every new restaurant in Calgary has to charge $30 for a main.
