Calgary's tech scene is actually growing fast. A lot of companies moving here from Toronto and Vancouver because of the lower cost of living and talent pool.

The East Village transformation is probably the best urban renewal project in Canada right now.

Amazon's presence in Calgary is growing. More tech jobs and warehouse positions coming. Good for the local economy and job diversity.

Anyone else notice how much better the restaurant scene in Calgary has gotten? Like we're legitimately competing with Vancouver and Montreal now on the food front.

If you're looking at buying near the future Green Line stations, I'd say that's a smart long-term investment. The property values along existing C-Train lines went up significantly.

Property taxes in Calgary are definitely going up but honestly they're still way better than what my friends pay in Toronto or Vancouver. And no land transfer tax in Alberta which saved us thousands.

Been here since 2001 and the Chinooks never get old.

Having lived here for a while, my family moved to Hamptons last year and we couldn't be happier. The kids' school is great, the parks are beautiful, and the community events are fantastic.

Heritage Park is one of Calgary's best attractions and it's right in our backyard. Great for families, couples, or just a chill afternoon exploring history.

Anyone else think the Stampede midway is way overpriced now? Still fun but I remember when it was a lot more affordable. Good memories though.

Curious to know what others think.
