My EV handles Calgary winters surprisingly well. The range drops about 30% in -20 but I charge at home overnight so it's not an issue for my daily commute. Zero regrets.
Good luck!

Hot take: the Flames prospect pipeline is actually looking really strong right now. Give it 2-3 years and this team is going to be a serious contender.

Took my daughter to her first Flames game last week. Seeing her face light up when they scored was absolutely priceless. Creating a new generation of fans! #Flames

Gas prices at Costco on Deerfoot are usually the cheapest in the city. Worth the drive and the lineup if you're filling up a big tank.
Hope that helps.

The live music scene in Calgary is alive and well. Broken City, Palomino, and the King Eddy all have great acts regularly. Support local musicians!

Took the family to Ten Foot Henry this weekend. Kids loved it, great portions, and the bill didn't make me cry. That's a win in my books.

I looked at both Parkdale and Shawnessy before settling on Arbour Lake.
Just bought in Ogden and I'm blown away by how friendly the neighbors are. Within the first week, three different families came by to introduce themselves.
Hope that helps.

Best detailing place in Calgary is Better Butcher in the NE. They do an incredible job and the prices are reasonable. My car looks showroom fresh every time.
Good luck!

The public swimming pools in Calgary are awesome. Village Square and Southland both have great facilities and the lane swim times work for early mornings. Thank you all!!

The Calgary International Film Festival is genuinely world-class. If you haven't checked it out, this year's lineup looks incredible.

The sunshine here is no joke. Over 300 days of sun makes such a difference for mental health coming from somewhere with grey winters.

Take this with a grain of salt but if you're looking for things to do when it's freezing outside, the escape rooms in Calgary are a solid option. Did one in Springbank Hill last week and had a blast.

Love seeing all the new independent businesses popping up in Inglewood and Kensington. Support local! These are the places that give Calgary its character.

Thanks everyone! Yoga studios in Calgary range from beginner-friendly to advanced. If you're just starting out, try Blink in Cranston. Really welcoming instructors who don't judge.
Hope that helps.

Cell phone bills in Calgary are still too high compared to other countries but the deals are getting better. BYOD plans are the way to go - don't finance through a carrier.
Grocery bills have been insane lately. We've switched to a combination of Costco, No Frills, and the Asian supermarkets for better prices. Still spending more than a year ago though.

If you're driving Deerfoot during rush hour, my pro tip: take Barlow or Macleod as alternatives. Slightly longer distance but way less stress. Deerfoot at 5pm is basically a parking lot.
