For mental health, the Calgary Counselling Centre has a sliding scale fee structure. They were incredibly helpful when I was going through a tough time.

On the other hand, hard agree on the winter driving thing. I'm originally from the coast and the first winter here was an eye opener. But you adapt and honestly snow tires make all the difference.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Ten Foot Henry for date night is perfect. Great ambiance, amazing menu, and the cocktails are on point. Can't recommend it enough. Book ahead though, it fills up fast.

For anyone looking at new builds - visit the site at different times and weather. Some areas flood in spring, some have awful drainage. Ask the neighbors, they'll tell you everything the builder won't.

I'd say i looked at both Point McKay and Falconridge before settling on Oakridge. The school district was the deciding factor for us. No regrets at all.

Good luck!

Calgary tech meetups are worth checking out.

Man, if you're in tech and considering Calgary - the talent competition isn't as fierce as Toronto but the salaries are competitive and your money goes WAY further here.
