Been checking out the new developments in Beltline and the quality of the builds is actually impressive. Calgary builders seem to be stepping up their game.
Good luck!

If you're buying from a dealership in Calgary, get everything in writing. The verbal promises mean nothing. And always check the vehicle history independently - don't just trust their word.

Anyone else think the Stampede midway is way overpriced now? Still fun but I remember when it was a lot more affordable. Good memories though. Hope that helps!

As a huge hockey fan, my family moved to Varsity last year and we couldn't be happier. The kids' school is great, the parks are beautiful, and the community events are fantastic. GFG!

For families with young kids, Signal Hill is hard to beat. Great playgrounds, safe streets, and the school is within walking distance for most residents.

Not to be negative but i've been running the Bow River pathway for years and it never gets old. The stretch from Edworthy to Prince's Island is perfect for a 10K. Beautiful any season.
Cheers!

Took the family to National on 10th this weekend. Kids loved it, great portions, and the bill didn't make me cry. That's a win in my books.

AWD is nice for Calgary winters but honestly good winter tires on a front-wheel drive car will outperform all-seasons on an AWD every single time. Don't skip the tires thinking AWD will save you.
Cheers!

We used CalgaryPrices to track the market before buying. Really helpful for getting a sense of where things are trending in different neighborhoods.

I've had a different experience actually. for anyone looking at new builds - visit the site at different times and weather. Some areas flood in spring, some have awful drainage. Ask the neighbors, they'll tell you everything the builder won't.
Good luck!

New arena talk keeps going back and forth. I love the Dome for nostalgia but we genuinely need a modern facility. Hoping it actually happens this time.
Anyone else in the same boat?

Speaking from experience, hot take: Calgary's food scene is actually better than Vancouver's now. We have incredible diversity and the quality across the board has gone up massively in the last few years.
Hope that helps.
