Couldn't disagree more actually lol. I've had the opposite experience but hey, that's what makes Calgary interesting - everyone's got their own take on things.

Best seats at the Saddledome on a budget: upper bowl press level, center ice. You can see the whole play develop. Way better than being in the corner lower bowl.

From my experience, the East Village transformation is probably the best urban renewal project in Canada right now. It went from sketchy to stunning in just a few years. Hope that helps!
