Go Flames Go! if you're looking for things to do when it's freezing outside, the escape rooms in Calgary are a solid option. Did one in Point McKay last week and had a blast.

Good luck!

Ha, my partner and I were just talking about this yesterday. We're in Cornerstone and yeah, totally relate.

So excited about this - If you're looking at buying near the future Green Line stations, I'd say that's a smart long-term investment. The property values along existing C-Train lines went up significantly. Can't wait!

From my experience, the Flames power play drives me insane but I keep watching every single game. That's loyalty right? :D This team tests my patience but I love them.

Been in Scenic Acres for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.

The outdoor fitness scene in Calgary is amazing. Free bootcamps in the parks during summer, running groups, cycling groups - there's something for everyone.

Good luck!

The Calgary Zoo in winter is actually beautiful. Less crowded, the animals are more active in the cold, and the Zoolights are magical.

Hope that helps.

First time buyers - my biggest advice is don't skip the home inspection. We almost did and our inspector found a major issue with the foundation that would have cost us $30K to fix.

For what it's worth - for brunch, nothing beats Monogram Coffee. The lineup can be long on weekends but the food is worth every minute of waiting. Their eggs benedict is legendary.

Good luck!

Couldn't disagree more actually lol. I've had the opposite experience but hey, that's what makes Calgary interesting - everyone's got their own take on things.

Hope that helps.

Just saw an amazing show at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Calgary's arts scene doesn't get enough credit. The Calgary Philharmonic is world class.

Hope that helps.

Best pizza in Calgary and I will die on this hill: Kinjo Sushi. Their wood-fired oven produces absolute perfection. Fight me if you disagree. :D

Property taxes in Calgary are definitely going up but honestly they're still way better than what my friends pay in Toronto or Vancouver. And no land transfer tax in Alberta which saved us thousands.

Hope that helps.

If you're looking for a gym that's not packed 24/7, try some of the smaller independent places outside of the core. The prices are often better and the equipment is just as good.
