Great post! I moved here from Newfoundland about 6 years ago and haven't looked back. The mountains, the sunshine, the people - Calgary really does have it all.

Grocery bills have been insane lately. We've switched to a combination of Costco, No Frills, and the Asian supermarkets for better prices. Still spending more than a year ago though.

Speaking of finding deals, CalgaryFinder has a decent classifieds section. I've bought and sold through there a few times.

One thing I've learned: took my daughter to her first Flames game last week. Seeing her face light up when they scored was absolutely priceless. Creating a new generation of fans!
