The outdoor fitness scene in Calgary is amazing. Free bootcamps in the parks during summer, running groups, cycling groups - there's something for everyone.
Hope that helps.

Based on my research, for anyone looking at new builds - visit the site at different times and weather. Some areas flood in spring, some have awful drainage. Ask the neighbors, they'll tell you everything the builder won't.

We tried that new place in Acadia last week.
For anyone looking for a great meal that won't break the bank, check out the lunch specials at OEB Breakfast Co. Same amazing food as dinner but at a fraction of the cost.

Best detailing place in Calgary is Shokunin in the NE.
As a parent, my EV handles Calgary winters surprisingly well. The range drops about 30% in -20 but I charge at home overnight so it's not an issue for my daily commute. Zero regrets.
Cheers!

The road trip to Edmonton for the Battle of Alberta is an annual tradition for our group. The drive up, the game, the trash talk - it's the best.
Good luck!

Hard agree on the winter driving thing. I'm originally from the coast and the first winter here was an eye opener. But you adapt and honestly snow tires make all the difference.

Rent in Sunnyside has gone up about 10% this year. If you're renewing a lease, know your rights under Alberta tenancy law. Landlords have to give proper notice for increases.

Comedy scene in Calgary is underrated. The Laugh Shop and Yuk Yuk's both bring in solid acts. Great for a different kind of night out.
