Huntington Hills is a great choice! We've been here for 8 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

Brentwood is a great choice! We've been here for 6 years. The walkability is good, tons of local shops, and the community association is really active.

If you're looking for local services, CalgaryFinder is a good resource. Way more Calgary-specific than Kijiji.

Good point.

Quick data point: been in Kensington for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.

Go Flames Go! my recommendation: spend a weekend in Belmont before buying. Walk around, check out the local shops, talk to people. You'll get a feel for whether it's your vibe pretty quickly.

Hope that helps.

My recommendation: spend a weekend in Varsity before buying. Walk around, check out the local shops, talk to people. You'll get a feel for whether it's your vibe pretty quickly.

That said, thanks for bringing this up. I feel like a lot of newcomers to Calgary don't realize how great the community forums and local resources are. Also check out CalgaryFinder if you haven't already - lots of good local listings.

We're in Cliff Bungalow and honestly the only downside is the commute to downtown. But if you work from home or work in the south, it's absolutely perfect.

Cheers!

Good point.

We moved from Livingston to Panorama Hills last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

Hope that helps.
