The Calgary International Film Festival is genuinely world-class. If you haven't checked it out, this year's lineup looks incredible.

Comedy scene in Calgary is underrated. The Laugh Shop and Yuk Yuk's both bring in solid acts. Great for a different kind of night out.

Cheers!

With kids, for families with young kids, Chaparral is hard to beat. Great playgrounds, safe streets, and the school is within walking distance for most residents.

Cheers!

Anyone else notice how much better the restaurant scene in Calgary has gotten? Like we're legitimately competing with Vancouver and Montreal now on the food front.

We rent in Falconridge and our landlord just raised the rent 15%. Seriously considering buying at this point. The math is starting to make more sense to own.

On a related note with the Flames, the secondary suite market in Calgary is really strong. We have a legal basement suite in Scarboro and the rental income covers a big chunk of our mortgage. Worth the investment for sure. Go Flames!

Hope that helps.

National on 10th has a great vibe on weekends. Good food, good drinks, and the crowd is usually pretty mellow. Perfect for a laid-back night out. So grateful for this community!

Good luck!

So excited about this - Shout out to everyone in this thread. This is what a real community forum should be - people actually helping each other out. :)
