IHT Rendezvous: Avoiding a 'Prescribed Version' of China
 

When the photographer Rian Dundon went to China, he was intent on making photographs that avoided the usual visual tropes and clichés. The color red, for example. He wanted to create an honest project, he says, "not this kind of post-colonial, white guy goes to China."
