IHT Rendezvous: Key Murdoch Aide to Be Prosecuted
 

LONDON - British prosecutors said on Tuesday that Rebekah Brooks, a former key aide to tycoon Rupert Murdoch and onetime close friend of Prime Minister David Cameron, will face prosecution along with her husband and four others for perverting the course of justice in the hacking scandal that has burrowed into British public life. The decision to prosecute the couple was seen as a blow to both Mr. Murdoch and Mr. Cameron who has been depicted as maintaining a cozy friendship with Ms. Brooks both in opposition and in office as prime minister since 2010.
