Double-bunking and violence not linked, head of prisons says
 

A Correctional Service of Canada briefing note seems to go against most expert opinion by concluding "double-bunking has a minimal impact on the rates of violence in institutions." Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney trumpeted the results at a House of Commons committee last week.
