Can the new polymer bills take the heat?
 

The Bank of Canada says its new $50 and $100 polymer bank notes will last much longer than the old paper-based versions. But that doesn't mean they're indestructible. Several reports have appeared about the new bills melting, crinkling or otherwise shrivelling after exposure to very high temperatures
