IHT Rendezvous: Mourning the Elephants
 

The coordinated slaughter of elephants earlier this year by poachers in Cameroon was hard to absorb: Well over 300 animals are thought to have been killed within the span of a few months. The World Wildlife Fund has now released more information about the killings, along with video of dessicated corpses stripped of their tusks.
