David Sweat, the surviving inmate who escaped from a New York prison, was reportedly shot and taken into custody on Sunday. The development was reported by The New York Times, NBC News and CBS News.

Richard Matt, the other escaped convict, was fatally shot by a Border Patrol agent on Friday.
