Impending NHL lockout much different from 2004-05
 

This wasn't supposed to happen again. In the aftermath of the grim lockout that wiped out the entire 2004-05 season, the NHL returned with a tremendous wave of hope and enthusiasm. There was a general feeling that the pain had been worth it.
