Vanderbilt Football Team Deletes Extremely Regrettable Tweet

Mistakes happen. They do. But it's hard to imagine no one in the Vanderbilt football program saw a problem with the team's newest slogan before it went out on Twitter on Thursday.

This comes six months after two former Vanderbilt football players were found guilty of rape. Welp. pic.twitter.com/0guM35V7h9

The tweet appears to have since been deleted, and it's understandable why. Just this January, two former Vanderbilt football players were found guilty of rape on the Vanderbilt campus.

We apologize for today’s tweet. It’s not a comment about sexual assault. Sex without permission is always wrong and not accepted. (1/2)

Sexual assault is not acceptable at Vanderbilt University, Vanderbilt Athletics and Vanderbilt Football. (2/2)

As always, think before you tweet.
