Folsom Prison Riot Leaves Inmate Dead Others Injured
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug 12 (Reuters) - One inmate was killed and numerous others injured at California State Prison-Sacramento in a disturbance that broke out shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, officials said.

Five inmates from what is also known as the New Folsom Prison were taken to hospitals with stab wounds, and several others were injured, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement. No staff members were injured in the incident, the state said.
