There's Specifically One Word This Man Just Can't Say

This guy from Northern Ireland has a very specific problem when it comes to saying the word "specifically."

He just can't master its specific pronunciation, no matter how many times he tries.

The man named only as Tommy, from Belfast, struggles to articulate the 12-letter word in footage that a friend filmed.

He tries multiple variations of the word, including "pacifically" and "sepifically." But none of them are right.

After dropping various F-bombs in between each of his 15 attempts, he orders his giggling pal to stop filming and "shut it down."

The Irish Post reports the clip was posted to the "Meanwhile In Ireland" Facebook group over the weekend. It's gone viral, with more 1.2 million views.

Tommy takes his inability to correctly say the word in good humor, but he shouldn't feel bad. According to a 2015 survey on Reddit, "specific" is the second hardest word in the English language to pronounce.

"Worcestershire" is apparently the most difficult, with number three being "squirrel," then "brewery" and "phenomenon."

And a recent study found 82 percent of Britons frequently mispronounce words.

The study’s list of the most common mispronunciations included terms like "prescription", "espresso" and several location names.

YouTube chef chef Pasquale Sciarappa became an Internet star in 2014 after his failed attempts at saying the word "Worcestershire" went viral.
