Teen's Moving Video Makes You Really Think About Cyberbullying

A 13-year-old Irish boy is standing up to cyberbullies with his powerful new campaign video.

Luke Culhane, who has previously been bullied, posted the video "Cyber Bullying: Create No Hate" to YouTube on Monday, and it's already going viral.

It begins with him being abused on various social media platforms. The jibes translate into physical injuries, like a bloody nose and facial bruises.

It clearly shows that although the torment is virtual, the pain is still very real.

"I have been cyberbullied myself and understand firsthand the impact it can have on a young person's self esteem," he told I Love Limerick.

Culhane from Limerick, in the Mid-West Region of Ireland, later advises victims on how to cope, explaining the "stop, block and tell" philosophy.

"I wanted to show that it doesn't have to be physical bullying to hurt someone so that’s why I showed the likeness between the two types of bullying," he told the Irish Examiner.

He published the two-minute, 36-second short to coincide with the European Union's Safer Internet Day on Tuesday.
