Donald Trump Takes Louisiana Republican Primary
Donald Trump delivered a sweeping win in the Louisiana Republican primary Saturday.
The entertainer outperformed his closest rivals, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) Despite his victory, Trump won't be walking away with all of the 46 allotted delegates in the state. Louisiana's delegate rules dictate each of the six districts will award three delegates proportionally, with no minimum threshold for candidates to be awarded delegates. The remaining 28 statewide delegates are also awarded proportionally, but candidates have to surpass a 20 percent threshold to be eligible for those delegates. Editor's note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S. -- This feed and its contents are the property of The Huffington Post, and use is subject to our terms.
