Belgium National Soccer Team Preaches Love In Wake Of Attacks
Just hours ago, tragedy struck the city of Brussels, Belgium, as a pair of explosions at the capital's airport and another at a local subway station killed dozens of morning commuters and injured at least 130 more.
Details of the attacks are sickening. Stories from the scenes are sobering. Brussels, greater Belgium and the entire world are thinking of and praying for those affected in what the nation’s prime minister has already condemned as a “violent” and “cowardly” act. While we hold our collective breath as the aftermath unfolds, a few well-known names from the Belgian national soccer team -- including captain Vincent Kompany -- have decided to use the moment and their wide-reaching platform to preach unity rather than hate; love rather than retribution. 1) Horrified and revolted.
