Calgary to cut 29 landfill jobs, reduce drop-off hours, end Christmas tree pickup
 

Layoffs are coming at the city's three landfills under the city's 2017 budget. A total of 29 jobs are being eliminated due to a drop in collected materials and tipping fees. Some of the affected workers, however, will be redeployed to other areas.
