Americans bomb Germany, Swiss win: Junior roundup
 

Alex Galchenyuk and Riley Barber each had a goal and two assists to power the United States past Germany 8-0 on Thursday at the world junior hockey tournament.It was the first Pool A game of the competition for the Americans, who moved into a first-place tie with Canada. Eight different Americans hit the scoreboard for the winners, a team trying to improve on last year's disappointing 7th place finish.
