Mother on trial in daughter's death kept 'immaculate' care of disabled woman but believed in demons
 

Two drastically different pictures of Patricia Couture — a mother on trial for the death of her daughter — emerged in a Calgary courtroom Thursday. Former friends of the 70-year-old charged with criminal negligence causing death, testified she was a doting mother who took "immaculate" care of herself, her home and her severely disabled daughter for years. But Patricia's ex-husband Bryan Couture described a woman who believed doctors and neighbours were demons.
