ACER LiquidE 2.1 Fido working on Rogers, Can I uprgrade to 2.2 Froyo w/o carrier lock
 

A friend gave me his Acer Liquid E, he had it connected it Fido. The Build Number is Acer_LiquidE_1.00.79_PA_FIDO. I was happy to see that it worked perfect on Rogers just by putting in my SIM card, I'm not sure how this was possible, does this mean the phone was unlocked somehow? Now I...
