Stampeders give Karl McCartney contract extension
 

The Calgary Stampeders signed linebacker Karl McCartney to a contract extension Tuesday. The 25-year-old McCartney, in his third season with Calgary, had a team-high 23 special-teams tackles in 2012 and added six more in the playoffs.
