Rewiring an old house

Why do you think it is important to hire an ESA electrical contractors? I’ve been hearing this a lot lately after I decided rewiring a house that I inherited it from my grandparents. The house has been in our family for a long time now. My great great grandparents bought it (I don’t know from whom). I was actually thinking of renovating it completely. So, My parents along with renovation, I should also, think of rewiring the house. That’s pretty much.
I’ve contacted an electrical contractor, which my cousin hired for the wiring of his new house.
But simply, Is it necessary??? Please let me know your suggestion...
