Cancer diagnosis adds urgency to gardening project, and friends pitch in to help
 

"I desperately wanted him to see his garden," said Dave Whiteside, whose partner in life, and gardening, learned his cancer had metastasized before they got to finishing their xeriscape project. Peeter Lepson was able to watch it come to life while in palliative care.
