Provinces on Friday continued to set record highs for COVID-19 cases, with Ontario reporting 9,571 a day after Quebec also broke the 9,000 mark. Manitoba, N.B. and P.E.I. also saw daily highs as officials pleaded with people to scale back holiday gatherings.
