Calgarians mourn local minister who was a trailblazer for social justice issues
 

Many in Calgary and beyond are mourning the loss of Rev. William Frederick ‘Bill’ Phipps, who passed away peacefully at home on Mar. 4. He served as The United Church’s 36th moderator from 1997 to 2000, before retiring from ministry in 2007 from Scarboro United Church in Calgary.
