Once thought to be a 'useless' desert, Palliser's Triangle has long been the breadbasket of Canada
 
Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan is often referred to as Palliser’s Triangle – a dry, hot and windy region originally thought to be a poor area for farming and agriculture. But the man who made that observation – Capt. John Palliser – couldn't have been more wrong.
