Having lived here for a while, calgary tech meetups are worth checking out. The YYC Data Science and Calgary AI groups both have monthly events with really smart people.

I drive from Marlborough to downtown every day. The trick is leaving before 7:15 AM or after 9:00 AM. That 30-minute window makes a massive difference in commute time.

On a related note with the Flames, if walkability is your priority, you really can't beat the inner city neighborhoods like Kensington, Beltline, or Mission. Everything you need is within walking distance.

If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

We moved from Rangeview to Panorama Hills last year and it was the best decision. Quieter, more green space, and our property taxes are actually lower.

If you're looking for a gym that's not packed 24/7, try some of the smaller independent places outside of the core. The prices are often better and the equipment is just as good.

Peace Bridge is my go-to for a stress-relief walk. Something about being in nature in the middle of the city just resets everything.

Lived in Calgary my whole life and this is spot on. The city has changed a lot recently but the core of what makes it great is still there.
