If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

Stoney Trail has been amazing for my commute from East Village to the south end. What used to take 45 minutes on Deerfoot is now 25 minutes. Worth the toll honestly.
