Go Flames Go! lived in Calgary my whole life and this is spot on. The city has changed a lot recently but the core of what makes it great is still there.
Good luck! |
I looked at both East Village and McKenzie Towne before settling on Martindale. The school district was the deciding factor for us. No regrets at all.

Ship & Anchor is a Calgary institution. Been going there for years. The patio in summer is one of the best spots in the entire city. Hope that helps!

Take this with a grain of salt but just want to add - if you're new to Calgary, download the Calgary Transit app and explore the C-Train system. It's not perfect but it gets you around the core pretty well.

Yo, just bought in Hawkwood and I'm blown away by how friendly the neighbors are. Within the first week, three different families came by to introduce themselves.
Cheers! |
