As a parent, tELUS fibre is the best internet I've had in Calgary. The speeds are consistent and I rarely have outages. Worth the switch from Shaw/Rogers if it's available in your area.

From a family perspective, our electricity bill this winter was shocking. If you haven't already, look into the regulated rate vs. fixed rate contracts. Can make a big difference depending on your usage.
