Having lived here for a while, hot take: the Flames prospect pipeline is actually looking really strong right now. Give it 2-3 years and this team is going to be a serious contender.

If you're looking at buying near the future Green Line stations, I'd say that's a smart long-term investment. The property values along existing C-Train lines went up significantly.

Ha, my partner and I were just talking about this yesterday.
Been thinking about this a lot lately. Calgary really does punch above its weight for a city its size. Great food, great outdoors, friendly people, reasonable cost of living.

Took my daughter to her first Flames game last week. Seeing her face light up when they scored was absolutely priceless. Creating a new generation of fans!

On the other hand, i love how active this community is. Real people sharing real experiences. This is why I keep coming back to this forum.

Good luck!

We sold our place in Aspen Woods last month and it went in 4 days. The market in that area is really hot right now, especially for family homes.

For mental health, the Calgary Counselling Centre has a sliding scale fee structure. They were incredibly helpful when I was going through a tough time.

Grocery bills have been insane lately. We've switched to a combination of Costco, No Frills, and the Asian supermarkets for better prices. Still spending more than a year ago though.
