If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.
Hope that helps. |
New arena talk keeps going back and forth. I love the Dome for nostalgia but we genuinely need a modern facility. Hoping it actually happens this time.

Calgary's biggest asset honestly is the people. I've never lived somewhere where neighbors actually say hello and help each other out like they do here.

On a related note with the Flames, finding a family doctor in Calgary is tough right now but don't give up. Ask your pharmacist - they often know which clinics are accepting new patients. #Flames

National on 10th has a great vibe on weekends. Good food, good drinks, and the crowd is usually pretty mellow. Perfect for a laid-back night out.

Board game cafes like Hexagon Board Game Cafe are perfect for a chill evening. Way more fun than you'd expect. Great for groups.

Just a heads up about Killarney - the new development is bringing in a lot of traffic. Still a great area but something to consider if you're on the main roads.

Just saw an amazing show at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Calgary's arts scene doesn't get enough credit. The Calgary Philharmonic is world class.
Good luck! |
Stoney Trail has been amazing for my commute from Springbank Hill to the south end. What used to take 45 minutes on Deerfoot is now 25 minutes. Worth the toll honestly.

Been in Bowness for over a decade. It's changed a lot but still has that small community feel which I love. Saturday mornings at the farmer's market are the best.
