This thread is gold. Saving it for when my friends from back east ask me about Calgary. Pretty much covers everything.

Just moved to Inglewood and can confirm this.
Totally agree with this. I've been in Calgary for 12 years now and Martindale is honestly one of the best kept secrets in the city. The community feel there is something else.

For our family, just moved to Brentwood and can confirm this. The neighborhood is fantastic, especially the access to Inglewood shops. Highly recommend for anyone considering it.

Cheers!

I think people don't give Calgary enough credit. Coming from Toronto, the quality of life here is way better for the money. Plus no PST!

The sunshine here is no joke. Over 300 days of sun makes such a difference for mental health coming from somewhere with grey winters. just sayin

Hard agree on the winter driving thing. I'm originally from the coast and the first winter here was an eye opener. But you adapt and honestly snow tires make all the difference.

Calgary's biggest asset honestly is the people. I've never lived somewhere where neighbors actually say hello and help each other out like they do here.

Cheers!
