For groceries, the best value in Calgary is honestly the ethnic supermarkets. T&T, Superstore International aisle, and the shops on International Avenue have way better prices on produce and spices.

I work downtown and live in Hamptons. The commute is honestly not bad compared to what I dealt with in the GTA. Plus you can actually afford a house here.

Cheers!

If you're looking for things to do when it's freezing outside, the escape rooms in Calgary are a solid option.
The Calgary Zoo in winter is actually beautiful. Less crowded, the animals are more active in the cold, and the Zoolights are magical.

Stampede is just around the corner and I'm already excited. Say what you will about it, but there's nothing quite like Calgary in July. The whole city transforms.

That said, calgary's biggest asset honestly is the people. I've never lived somewhere where neighbors actually say hello and help each other out like they do here.
