Hello All,
New to the forums. We just went with Internet 150 and as part of the switch from Internet 50 we were provided with the T3200. Previously I had a Bother MFC9130CW printer connected wirelessly to my own router which was then connected to the previous TELUS router. Now I am trying to connect the printer to the T3200. I can connect the printer to my wireless network. I can connect my laptop to the same network. The router can see both and display the IP addresses of both. Unfortunately when I try to connect to the printer the laptop cannot find it. I have tried resetting the router. I uninstalled the printer drivers... but when I went to reinstall I couldn't complete the processes wirelessly because the laptop could not see the printer. I am able to connect to the printer by USB, but that tethers the laptop. I spent a long time with Brother Canada support who say it is a TELUS problem. TELUS tech support said the Brother hardware appears OK and that the problem seems to be the router, but essentially their point of view was tough luck. The best that TELSU tech support could offer was suggesting that I contact Brother again to see if they know of any issues. At my wits end here... can any of you suggest a next step. I don't know if it matters but when I enter the printer's IP address into a browser window (Edge or Chrome) I get "cannot reach this page". Thanks, Simon More... |
