Default WhatsApp launches fake news helpline in India to fight election misinformation
WhatsApp has unveiled a helpline called Checkpoint Tipline where people in India can check the authenticity of information they hear, as the country struggles with rampant fake news on social media ahead of its general election starting April 11.
