Hi, I think it's a great idea to try to restore old stuff, for reuse. I can suggest trying couch steam cleaning. I cleaned my grandmother's couch that way, just beyond recognition. Only my grandmother recognized it, because she bought it back in the 80's) You'll be pleased with the result, I guarantee!
