How ot unlock nokia E71 from Telus

I have a Nokia E71 from Telus. After the contract, I would like to unlock it and use it on other carriers' network. Interesting thing is that the unlock code doesn't work with the phone. After I keyed in the code and "restriction off" showed on the screen. However, the phone still doesn't work...
