Default Wisdom teeth removal!

Hey, I am 23 now and my wisdom teeth are developing. I am having excruciating pain due to this. I guess my jaw isn’t large enough to give them room. I’m having a severe headache due to this pain. Taking painkillers has become a daily routine for me.
I am now thinking of removing my wisdom teeth. But should I wait till it fully develops? I have heard that wisdom teeth are very susceptible to cavities and are not easily cleanable. I have seen my friends removing the wisdom teeth as per the instruction from their dentists. Isn’t the removal process really painful?
I am planning to get help from a dentist in Edmonton. Is there anything I can do now at home to reduce this pain? Please give me wisdom in this matter. Thanks in advance.
