Rogers really why are we the last to get firmware OTA

I run 4.1.1 on my Note II I know that a upgrade has been promised soon. Soon means whenever. But A friend has a Galaxy Nexus and it still has not been upgrade !!! People buy Nexus devices for quick updates. I hear maybe the end of January for the Galaxy Note II.
