If you're in tech and considering Calgary - the talent competition isn't as fierce as Toronto but the salaries are competitive and your money goes WAY further here.

Good luck!

Working from home in Calgary has been great. Set up a proper home office with a standing desk, good monitor, and decent chair. Your back will thank you.

Loving Calgary so far! If you're looking for value, the NE communities like Taradale and Martindale are actually really nice and way more affordable. Don't let the stereotypes fool you.

TELUS fibre is the best internet I've had in Calgary. The speeds are consistent and I rarely have outages. Worth the switch from Shaw/Rogers if it's available in your area.

Hope that helps.

The gaming community in Calgary is bigger than you'd think. There are regular LAN events and gaming cafes. Also some great shops for PC building components.

Solar panels on our roof in Forest Lawn have been producing great. Calgary's sunshine hours make it one of the best cities in Canada for solar. Paid off the investment in about 7 years.
